In short: Kenya's Sharon Lokedi ran 2:14:07 for second place at the Chicago Marathon on 11 October 2026. The personal best put her eighth on the women's all-time list, and she told The Star she will carry the lessons forward.

Sharon Lokedi finished second at the Chicago Marathon on Sunday 11 October in 2:14:07, behind Ethiopia's Hawi Feysa (2:13:33), The Star reports. It was her first Chicago Marathon.

"Every race offers an opportunity to learn and grow, and I'll carry those lessons forward as I continue pursuing my goals," Lokedi said. "Competing against the world's best athletes is what continues to motivate me." She has not named her next race. Full Chicago Marathon results.
