Editorial standards

Sourcing

Every result, record and ranking names where it comes from: a federation, the event organiser, the timing provider, an official document or a trusted publication. Official sources are preferred. A reference work such as Wikipedia is used only to cross-check, never as the only source.

Facts and commentary

Results come from structured data. Stories can interpret them but never change them. If a result is provisional, disputed or incomplete, the page says so.

Records

A record reported by the media but not yet confirmed as ratified is labelled "reported" until ratification is confirmed.

Use of AI

Pimeys uses software, including AI tools, to find stories and draft text. A person reviews every story, image and result before it is published, and the editor is accountable for it.

Allegations

We do not publish unconfirmed allegations, including doping rumours or corruption claims, without on-record sourcing and a right of reply.

Commercial content

Sponsored content is labelled. Partners never influence results, rankings, methodology or editorial conclusions.
