Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon race week: where to collect your kit, park and leave your bag
Kits are at Uhuru Gardens until Saturday, and the Southern Bypass closes from midnight on Saturday until 2pm on race day.

In short: Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon race kits are collected at Uhuru Gardens from 21 to 24 October 2026, and the Southern Bypass is closed from midnight on Saturday 24 October until 2pm on race day, Sunday 25 October.
Race kits for Sunday's Standard Chartered Nairobi Marathon are being collected at Uhuru Gardens from Wednesday 21 to Saturday 24 October, the official Runner's Guide says. Registration is closed.
If you are collecting a kit for someone else, bring a signed authorisation letter from the runner, a copy of their entry confirmation and a copy of their ID. Runners outside Kenya can have their kits delivered for a fee that depends on location.
On race day
Left luggage is at Uhuru Gardens for all races. Show your race number or official accreditation to collect your bag, check that its security tag is intact, and keep valuables with you in the drawstring bag provided. Athletes can park at the Carnivore grounds at their own risk, but not on the route or its access roads.
The Southern Bypass will be closed between the Ole Sereni Interchange and Kikuyu Town from midnight on Saturday 24 October until 2pm on Sunday 25 October, KeNHA says, as reported by Capital FM. Leave early, as closures and diversions will slow traffic. Full race preview and timetable.
