Mark Kosgei Kiptoo won the 2026 San Sebastián half marathon in Spain outright in 1:03:57, a new best for men aged 50 and over. Kiptoo was born on 21 June 1976, so he raced as a 50-year-old.

The previous M50 mark was 1:06:23, by South Africa's Titus Mamabolo, so Kiptoo took 2 minutes 26 seconds off it. Reports describe it as an M50 world record, but we have not seen confirmation that it has been ratified, so we call it a best for now.
