Women: Chebor heads the field
Maurine Jepkoech Chebor arrives in form. She retained her 10,000m title at the Betika BingwaFest national finals in Meru, winning in 32:17.2 at Kinoru Stadium. Sandrafelis Chebet and Brenda Jepchumba Kenei are also named among the leading contenders.
Two of last year's podium are back: runner-up Abigael Chepkoech, who ran 33:54.73, and Diana Chepkemoi, third in 34:13.85. Caren Chebet won the women's race in 2025.
